Classical Dash was founded in 1995 by Ian Bond,
the present Managing Director.
“After working for 10 years within the automotive
wood trim industry I decided to set up Classical
Dash. As the name suggests, the aim was to offer
a service to enthusiasts and specialists manufacturing
and restoring dashboards and veneer trims for classic
and sports cars. I started to manufacture flat dashboards
for Lotus, Triumph and Austin Healey supplying specialists
such as Paul Matty Sports cars (Lotus), Rimmer Bros
(Triumph) and AH Spares (Austin Healey). I also
offer a superb restoration service for cars where
the dashes could not so easily be re manufactured
such as Jaguar and Rolls Royce.”
Classical Dash now has a workforce of six and
boasts customers such as Aston Martin Lagonda and
the Morgan Motor Company and as the company grows
they are keen not to forget where the business started.
Within Classical Dash a small team are dedicated
to the restoration and re-manufacture of dashboards
and veneer trims for the classic and vintage car
market.
